Meet Our Coordinator-Kris Stoddard
Kris Stoddard is married to her husband, Bruce, of 21 years. Formerly she was a school teacher, after which, she and her husband were led by God to take in foster children for adoption. After several years in the public school, because of the needs of their children, they brought all six home to continue their education. They have since developed a deep conviction about homeschooling and are committed to it long-term. They love to encourage other families in their own personal and home schooling journeys. Kris enjoys helping new homeschooling moms get started and get “plugged in” to the homeschool community. She also loves to encourage homeschooling mothers in all of the struggles and ups and downs of this high calling. Years of experience with many varied learning, emotional and behavioral issues make her a valuable resource for many homeschooling and parenting challenges.
How Kris Came to Be Our Coordinator is a Great Story!
God has been working in and around the co-op and it is really exciting. In attempts to recruit families for the co-op contact with Kris Stoddard, a former member, was renewed . She had wonderful things to say about co-op and some really great suggestions. In talking with her there was a prompting to ask if she might be open to returning and serving on our leadership team. Upon further reflection and prayer there was even greater prompting to see if she thought God might be leading her to Coordinate the whole co-op. After some discussion and much prayer she stated she would be honored to be a part of this team and lead the co-op. She has great vision for this ministry; namely helping families “home-school through high-school” (a place we will all be at some point and might even dread a little), making sure that moms are getting the encouragement and support they need, and that the classes offered are educational as well as enriching. We are all thrilled at the opportunity to work with Kris and be a part of what God has in store for this ministry.
